Privacy policy

Effective 8 November 2026. This is the launch-kit privacy policy for SEQ Service Quotes. No separate paid legal review was commissioned. The public site is https://seqservicequotes.link. Collection is off and stays off until it is explicitly enabled after deployment. Still placeholders: phone [contact phone not yet entered], payment processor [payment processor not yet connected], and the trading name [registered business name not yet entered].

Nicholas Rossiter (sole trader), ABN 71 526 258 256, of Queensland 4213, publishes SEQ Service Quotes at https://seqservicequotes.link. Not registered for GST. Prices are ex GST and no GST is charged because the business is not registered for GST. Registration of the business name SEQ Service Quotes is pending. Until it is registered, the trading name on the legal record is [registered business name not yet entered]. This policy does not claim that name is already registered. Contact the privacy officer at mjwr09@gmail.com or Queensland 4213. This policy explains personal information handling for termite inspection, barrier, treatment and baiting introductions for western Brisbane. The practices below are the ones this service is built to follow. Whether the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles apply depends on the actual entity and activities, including whether personal information is traded for a benefit. That is not assumed from turnover.

What we collect and why

If collection is enabled, we collect what you type into the quote form: name, phone or email, postcode, service, job details, preferred contact time, and the optional building and situation fields. We also store the consent text, consent version, the provider names shown, whether marketing was ticked, and the time of the request. We do not ask ordinary customers for identity documents or sensitive information. Do not send tenant access codes, health details, government identifiers, or someone else’s personal information unless it is necessary and you have authority.

We do not run accounts. We do not take card numbers. If a provider is later invoiced, payment references would come from [payment processor not yet connected]; card details would be entered with that processor, not stored here. No processor is connected.

Technical data is limited to what the Worker needs for security: a hashed rate-limit bucket derived from the connecting IP, request size, origin and error codes. We do not run analytics cookies. Logs are written to drop names, email addresses and phone numbers. That filter is not a guarantee.

We use the information to validate the enquiry, avoid duplicates, and, only with referral consent, pass it to the named providers. Without a name, a phone or email, an in-area postcode, a supported service and referral consent, we cannot arrange a referral. Marketing email is used only if you tick the separate box. An enquiry on one SEQ Service Quotes niche is not added to a marketing list for the others.

We collect this from you. We do not buy lead lists.

Lead referrals

If you ask for a referral and tick the referral box, we disclose only your name, phone or email, postcode, service, job details and preferred contact time to the providers named on the form, up to 2. We may be paid by those providers for the referral. That payment is not an endorsement and not a claim that we compared the whole market. Providers may contact you only about the request you made, for 14 days after the referral, and they handle what they receive under their own privacy practices. We do not pass the enquiry to anyone who was not named, and we do not resell it for unrelated marketing. If no verified provider is named, the Worker does not store the contact details and does not share them. A later provider requires a new consent.

Service providers

The intended host is Cloudflare (Pages for the site, a Worker for the form, and D1 for the database). Cloudflare is not an Australian company. No other vendor is connected. No customer content is used to train a general-purpose model. Staff of the operator can read stored enquiries only for support, a privacy request, or a suspected invalid-lead review.

Overseas handling

The intended overseas disclosure is Cloudflare’s global network and storage. The country of a particular write is not fixed by the free tier, and this policy does not claim Australian residency. Before collection is enabled, the operator has to accept that arrangement or choose a different host. Using the site does not waive APP 8.

Security and retention

The Worker uses TLS in production, parameterised queries, a fail-closed collection flag, origin checks, a body-size limit and rate limits. No system is completely secure. The configured retention period for enquiry content is 30 days from receipt, after which an authorised admin action clears the name, phone, email and job details. That period is the operating schedule, not a claim that every backup copy vanishes the same day. Payment and tax records, if any are created later, may have to be kept longer than the enquiry itself. Consent and suppression records are kept only as needed to honour a withdrawal and to show what was agreed. Suspected breaches are assessed and, where the law requires it, notified to affected people and to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Your choices

Email mjwr09@gmail.com to ask for access or correction, to ask what we hold, or to withdraw consent for future optional sharing or marketing. We may need a proportionate identity check. We will explain any lawful refusal. Withdrawal does not undo a referral already sent. There is no fee to make a request. If a lawful access charge ever applied, we would tell you first. Marketing unsubscribe is free and does not need an account.

Complaints

Write to the privacy officer at mjwr09@gmail.com. We acknowledge within 5 business days and aim to answer within 30 days. If we need longer, we will explain the delay. If the complaint is not resolved, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-complaints where it has jurisdiction.

Cookies and changes

These sites set no analytics or advertising cookies. The quote form is a normal page. A future non-essential tracker will not be loaded until its own notice is in this policy. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new version number. A new purpose or a new class of recipient needs its own consent. It is not authorised merely by editing this page.
